Salary: $30 - $40 per hour (Top pay, commensurate with experience and certifications)

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Plumber and/or Gas Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will perform high-quality plumbing work, including installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. This role requires expertise in pipe fitting, system diagnostics, and a commitment to delivering excellent craftsmanship in commercial settings.

• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, and related equipment, in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and project requirements
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, such as leaks, clogs, or system malfunctions, and implement effective solutions
• Ensure all work complies with the International Plumbing Code (IPC), local and state plumbing codes, and company safety policies
• Collaborate with project managers, apprentices, and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget
• Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
• Document work performed, including time logs, material usage, and project progress reports
• Mentor and guide apprentices or less experienced team members, providing training on plumbing techniques and safety protocols

• Valid Journeyman Plumber or Gas Fitter license in Alabama
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Journeyman Plumber or equivalent role
• Proficiency in installing and repairing plumbing systems, including copper, PVC, PEX, and cast-iron piping
• Strong knowledge of the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) and local plumbing regulations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with advanced plumbing systems, such as hydronic heating or backflow prevention
• Additional certifications (OSHA 10/30, Backflow Tester Certification, First Aid/CPR)
• Familiarity with commercial or industrial plumbing projects

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, or in various weather conditions
• Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods
