Park Maintenance Foreman

The Park Maintenance Foreman supervises all aspects of maintaining buildings, park grounds, athletic fields, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and disc golf courses. Assists the Park Operations Manager/Safety Coordinator by doing special assignments or other related work as required. Ability to assist in the supervision of personnel. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Assists supervisor in keeping maintenance records, time cards, and inventory.

Leads a small crew of workers on assignment.

Operates and maintains equipment.

Inspects and cleans department grounds, facilities, and buildings.

Assists supervisor in ordering and picking up supplies and materials.

Reports damages and repair needs of facilities to supervisor.

Performs repairs to damaged facilities.

Applies chemicals and fertilizers as directed by the supervisor.

Assists in the set-up of special activities or events.

Assists in the assembly or installation of equipment.

Assists in the maintenance of buildings and facilities.

Assists supervisor in training personnel on tool and equipment use and procedures.

Maintains all aspects of athletic fields, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and disc golf courses.

Performs other duties as assigned.

High School graduate or equivalent.

Minimum of one year of supervisory experience.

18 months to three (3) years minimum experience in general maintenance.

Valid driver's license.

Must have a valid Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries Commercial Applicator permit or ability to obtain within one (1) year of employment

Eighteen (18) years old or older.

Supervisory skills.

Painting, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, carpentry, landscaping, electronic, and fabricating skills.

Ability to use tact and restraint in dealing with the public.
