Juvenile Court Services is seeking a new Community Coordinator.

Job Summary

Performs professional work of considerable difficulty in specialized case management activities within the Dependency Court unit; performs related work as required or assigned. Work involves collaboration with families, court teams, and community providers. Discretion is required in applying policies, procedures, and guidelines, and in selecting appropriate resources to accomplish assigned work. The working title for this position is Community Coordinator; the job classification is Sr Case Manager, Courts.

Essential

Functions
  • Attend court hearings.
  • Serve as liaison between the court, other government agencies, and community providers.
  • Prepare reports and case updates for court review and consideration.
  • Participate in meetings and case conferences.
  • Serve as an information source to the Judicial Bench, contract attorneys, CPS, and other state/federal agencies as required.
  • Assist in the development of in-service training.
  • Assist in the development of programs.
  • Conduct orientation of new staff.
  • Maintain electronic case documentation in compliance with County, state, and Federal requirements.
  • Report statistical information.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, behavioral/social sciences, or other closely related field; AND
  • Three (3) years' experience in social work, child welfare, criminal or juvenile justice, mental or behavioral health; OR
  • Equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to qualify.
  • Arizona residents must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License upon hire; newly established Arizona Residents must have one within 30 days of hire.
