- Assures safe and timely transportation of children to school, sporting events, and other school‑approved functions.
- Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for student comfort.
- Complies with local traffic regulations.
- Reports delays or accidents.
- Inspects bus and checks gas, oil, and water before departure.
- Loads or unloads backpacks and/or equipment in baggage compartment.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Valid AZ CDL drivers license with passenger endorsement preferred; must be CPR and first aid certified; must be 21 years of age or older.
- Willingness and ability to perform physical demands including sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Noise level moderate to loud.
- Salary:
Grade E – minimum starting $17.00 per hr. plus $2.00 for a CDL holder as established by the Governing Board. - 10 month position, 187 days, 8 hours per day.
