Part-Time Freight Handler LTL Dock Operations

Job Summary

Fed Ex is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Part-Time Freight Handler to support Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) Dock Operations
. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient movement, handling, and staging of freight within our dock facilities. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and uphold Fed Ex's high standards for safety, service, and operational excellence.

• Load, unload, sort, and stage LTL freight on the dock using safe material‑handling practices

• Operate dock equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies (forklift operation as required and trained)

• Inspect freight for damage, verify shipment documentation, and report discrepancies

• Secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dock area in compliance with company and OSHA standards

• Work collaboratively with dock supervisors, drivers, and team members to meet operational targets

• Follow all Fed Ex safety, security, and quality procedures at all times

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull freight weighing up to 50 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation)

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Basic understanding of warehouse or dock operations

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Dependable, punctual, and team‑oriented mindset

• Willingness to work in varying temperatures and physical conditions

• Previous experience in freight handling, dock operations, warehouse, or logistics is preferred

• Entry‑level candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply

• Experience with LTL freight or material‑handling equipment is an advantage
