Middle School Teacher at Florence Bilingual School (FBS), a bilingual Italian/English school accredited by Cambridge International. FBS has been active since 1973 and is part of the Cognita Schools group.

About the Role:

As a Middle School Teacher of Italian History & Geography, you will design and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that spark curiosity and independence. Your responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering high‑quality lessons aligned with the curriculum.
Using a variety of teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
Fostering a positive classroom environment that encourages high expectations, creativity, and strong relationships.
Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Contributing to school reporting, wider school activities, and sustaining safeguarding responsibilities at all times.
Collaborating with colleagues and engaging parents to support academic and personal development.
Actively participating in school life through events, trips, and ongoing professional development.

Who We Are Looking For:

Passionate educator with strong subject knowledge in Italian History and Geography.
Relevant degree and teaching qualification.
Minimum of two years’ experience in a classroom setting.
Excellent communication, organisational and inclusive classroom management skills.
Adaptable, collaborative, and committed to continuous professional growth.
Dedication to supporting student well‑being, progress and a vibrant school community.

Employment Details:

Start date:

September 2, 2026.

Contract:

part‑time, fixed term until June 30, 2027 – 8 hours per week.
