The Baker Hughes Internship is designed to enable students pursuing a Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree or recently graduated to gain hands‑on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives.
You will be part of the Additive Manufacturing Team inside the Innovation organization and will have access to our 3D printers laboratory. You will learn how additive manufacturing is leveraged to increase component performance and become familiar with Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) and the culture of Baker Hughes.
Responsibilities Develop an in‑situ monitoring solution on a Laser Powder Bed Fusion machine to capture build‑quality data and apply automated quality‑control algorithms for high‑volume production items.
Prepare reports, work instructions, and process documentation to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
Complete internal projects to deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements.
Learn internal software to assist with the completion of projects and tasks.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and interns to interact and network with global business leaders.
Apply Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintained.
Qualifications Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
Proficiency in applying hands‑on engineering methods and problem‑solving techniques.
Expertise in Design of Experiments (DOE), Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Problem‑solving mindset, data‑analysis skills, and ability to work in a group.
Flexibility to work in a way that works for you; flexible working patterns may be available.
Compensation 600 € gross monthly – exams not yet completed and distance 700 € gross monthly – exams not yet completed and distance>50km.
900 € gross monthly – exams completed or graduated and distance 1,000 € gross monthly – exams completed or graduated and distance>50km.
