Firmware Engineer

Powersoft SpA   is an Italian based multinational group, listed on the Italian Stock Exchange, that counts more than 150 employees. Powersoft is the world leader in the design, production, and commercialization of products and patented solutions for applications in the professional audio field, such as big international shows, concerts, theatres, cinemas, stadiums, airports, train stations, cruises, etc.

For increasing our   Firmware Development Team   , we are looking for candidates with experience in Embedded systems and in C ++ development languages.

ROLE:
Develop and optimize firmware for microcontrollers and embedded systems
Design, implement, and test code in languages such as C/C++
Interact and collaborate with the other team members and the other colleagues.
Analyze and resolve debugging issues, optimizing firmware performance.
Write technical documentation related to code and development specifications.
Test firmware in the lab, ensuring reliability and compliance with requirements.
Follow software development standards and best practices for firmware lifecycle management.

REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor's degree in one of the following fields is required: computer science, information technology electronics, electrical engineering
The candidate should be able to use GIT as version control system and use git flow to work in the projects in which he will be involved.
The ideal candidate should be proficient with the following languages echnologies:
C
C++
Familiarity with microcontroller architectures (ARM Cortex, NXP RT, AVR, etc.).

Experience with debugging and programming tools (JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
Knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, etc.).
Understanding of basic electronics and ability to read electrical schematics.

Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) is a plus.
A knowledge of network protocols and communications is also desiderable.
Good problem solving skills and willingness to learn
Passion or knowledge in the audio domain and r for open source projects is definitely a plus.
A combination of hardware and software skills would be a great advantage.
Good communication skills in English, written and spoken.
