Continuous Improvement Co-Op

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Co‑op to support our Continuous Improvement and Capital Projects functions for the upcoming term. This role is ideal for a student interested in process improvement, operations, reliability, or project management. The Co‑op will gain hands-on experience working directly with our Continuous Improvement and Capital Projects Manager, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and strategic initiatives.

General Co‑op Responsibilities Participate in process improvement activities and support Lean initiatives across the facility.

Assist with capital project planning, documentation, and progress tracking.

Conduct research, gather data, and prepare reports or presentations for ongoing projects.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and identify improvement opportunities.

Support meetings, take notes, and follow up on assigned action items.

Maintain organized records, files, and project documentation.

Perform general administrative tasks and contribute fresh ideas to team discussions.

Preferred Skills (Not Required)
Currently enrolled in a college or university program in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field.

Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Comfort working with software platforms; experience with CMMS tools (MaintainX or similar) is a plus.

Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate with diverse teams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with Lean tools, such as 5S, standard work, or value stream mapping.

Prior internship/co‑op experience in a manufacturing, operations, or project environment.

Exposure to project management or data analysis tools.
