Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op

** POSITION OVERVIEW
** Position will apply principles of Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering to manufacturing processes to achieve maximum quality and productivity from labor, materials and equipment.
** JOB DESCRIPTION (Key Responsibilities):
*** Provide shop floor support in daily problem solving activities.  
* Identify and implement projects such as productivity and cost reduction projects in assigned area.
* Develop and maintain appropriate process documentation to support ISO 9000 Certification.
* Create job work instructions as requested on existing and incoming equipment.
* Develop and implement World Class Manufacturing Processes.
* Investigate, justify and implement capital equipment needs.
* Communicate company goals, objectives and philosophies to the workforce.
* Attend communication meetings.
* Follow Emerson Ethics and Safety Programs
* Adhere to all Export, Import and Supply Chain Security Policy requirements relevant to the position
* Follow State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs
* Adhere to ISO 9000 Standards
* Job duties include but are not limited to the above

* Education:

Currently enrolled in an accredited technical school or college.

* Experience:

1-2 years

* Travel Required:

* Computer Skill:+ Personal Computer+ Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point+ Proficient with Internet
* Above average verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to get along with others
* Can effectively function in a matrix and team environment
