- Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions to clients as determined by the treatment plan and document the sessions according to regulatory requirements.
- Develop treatment plans with goals and objectives.
- Serve as a member of the treatment team.
- Provide evidence‑based therapeutic interventions.
- Provide consultation to non‑clinical team members, when appropriate.
- Abide by company policy when receiving a subpoena for records and/or court appearances.
- Work in consultation with and report any concerns to Statewide Treatment Director.
- Attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Possess a working knowledge and understanding of culture and its function in human behavior and society.
- Deliver services that are sensitive to clients’ cultures.
- Foster mutually respectful partnerships with persons served and their families to help them gain skills and confidence.
- Ability to effectively partner with other team members.
- Possess a conviction about the capacity of people to grow and change.
- Ability to set appropriate boundaries and maintain a helping role and intervene appropriately to meet the needs of the persons served or family.
- A Master’s degree in a Human Services field.
- 1 year experience in child welfare services.
- A valid professional license in the field (LPCA, LPCC, CSW, LCSW, LMFTA, LMFT, LPA, LPP).
Step Stone Family and Youth Services provides a full spectrum of support to children in need of alternative, safer, and more positive living environments with residential and family services. Step Stone connects children and youth who need homes with foster families, offers foster care training, respite care, and support services. For young adults transitioning from foster care to independent living, Step Stone provides personalized guidance and training on basic life skills, including money management and education.

Our position follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely at home or in the community as well as from the office, based on the demands of specific tasks. Working from the office is encouraged for tasks that require a high degree of collaboration. Therapy sessions will primarily occur outside of school hours unless otherwise indicated by the youth’s treatment plan.
