We're working on one of the most exciting opportunities in the US fintech space right now. It's a joint venture between a global tier 1 consulting powerhouse (think EY, PwC, Deloitte) and one of the world's top performing hedge funds.
They teamed up to build a high performance quantitative technology operation in Ohio, and we're hiring into the founding Data Engineering team.
Importantly, you don't need a finance or quant background to be considered.
What they're really looking for is an exceptional Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, working with large and challenging datasets, and building sophisticated data and AI solutions from the ground up.
We do pay referral fees for successful referrals!
What you'll bring:- You will have at least 8 years of commercial experience in data engineering, building scalable data platforms, pipelines, distributed processing and data architecture
- Hands on Databricks experience is essential
- Strong skills across the modern data stack - think large scale ETL/ELT, distributed processing frameworks, cloud data platforms, and data modelling for high throughput environments
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high ownership environment where you're building foundational infrastructure rather than maintaining someone else's
- A track record of translating messy, complex data problems into clean, scalable, production grade solutions
You'll be building the data backbone that powers large scale data processing, machine learning, AI, and quantitative analytics across the business - architecting pipelines and platforms that need to be fast, resilient, and built to scale from day one.
