Assistant Inventory Control Supervisor - Warehouse (401)
Base pay range: $74,000.00/yr - $74,000.00/yr
Job Summary:
Ensure efficient operations through careful leadership of all assigned warehouse and inventory control activities. Ensure proper packaging and accurate recording of all inventories and material movement to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Proficient in SAP processing requirements for each transfer requirement.
- Establish daily routines required specific to each area of responsibility, accounting for all variables.
- Coordinate daily material movement activities with internal departments and external carriers.
- Establish and maintain customer relationships to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Flexible with work hours upon request to cover late orders or support critical needs.
- Continually improve efficiency while reducing overall material handling costs.
- Provide daily feedback to the Warehouse Supervisor on all inventory-related issues.
- Solve position-related problems with little or no assistance.
- Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes, consolidating tasks, and eliminating non-value-added processes.
- Provide feedback to Warehouse Supervisor on cost and cost-saving ideas.
- Coordinate with internal teams to determine cut-off and delivery times.
- Oversee and execute SAP transactions related to ASN creation, processing, and issue resolution to ensure timely and accurate transmission to customers.
- Manage RTV (Return to Vendor) transfers, including SAP processing, documentation, and coordination with procurement and buying teams.
- Investigate and resolve ASN or RTV discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Continually interface with required departmental supervisors and support groups within plant operations.
- Drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics and the achievement of organizational goals.
- Identify individual and team strengths and communicate with Warehouse Supervisor.
- Create and/or validate training curriculum in the area of responsibility.
- Develop best practices to reduce waste and increase productivity.
- Coach and counsel employees and support team development overall.
- Ensure accurate reporting for all direct reports (such as Kronos).
- Adherent to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
- Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Proficient SAP skills, including inventory management, ASN processing, RTV transfers, stock movement, and related transaction codes.
- Capability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and to effectively present information to management.
- Ability to mathematically calculate percentages, area, circumference, and volume required in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills required.
- High School diploma required
- Three (3) years warehouse or inventory control related experience required
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
