Job SummaryOwnership for monitoring inventory levels, traceability, and identifying, classifying, and finding the root causes of inventory inaccuracies. Provide feedback and possible solutions to the manager for eliminating further discrepancies.
Responsibilities- Monitor all material transactions for assigned area(s).
- Identify, resolve, and determine root causes of discrepancies and other inventory errors.
- Recommend changes to eliminate or greatly reduce future inaccuracies.
- Be flexible to work overtime, assist in material handling, and fill in for other Inventory Control personnel as required by the Inventory Control Manager.
- Eliminate manufacturing downtime in the assigned area where applicable.
- Perform regular component cycle counts as required.
- Perform inventory transactions and reporting on customer systems when required.
- Assist in the development and implementation of materials management systems to enhance inventory control at Jabil Circuit.
- Interface with all departmental supervisors, support functions, engineering, program management, and other pertinent plant operations functions.
- Adhere to safety and health rules and regulations, and follow company security procedures.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to present information effectively to managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to operate a PC using Windows and related software; advanced PC skills and familiarity with Jabil software packages.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and read/understand visual aids.
- Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions and to deal with standardized situations with limited variables.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and interpret graphs.
- Ability to interface with multiple functional areas within plant operations.
