2nd SHIFT MACHINE MAINTENANCE POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Crescent Paper Tube is a family-owned business which strongly believes in the concept of doing things right and taking pride in every aspect of operations. We are currently soliciting for maintenance technicians for our manufacturing equipment and plant floor operations equipment.

Primary Duties:

• Machining skills using manual lathes, mills, drill press, centerless grinders, etc.
• Repairing, maintaining and improving industrial machinery, paper tube winding machinery, packaging machinery, and other production equipment.
• Perform electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical control troubleshooting.

Secondary Duties

• Ability to operate all production equipment
• Welding
• Strong awareness of Safety
• Ability to work as a team member

Additional Skills/Requirements: Preferred
3+ years of experience electrical/mechanical troubleshooting at the component level
3+ years of experience working on industrial assembly machines.

Experience with VOM with the ability to understand the results, troubleshoot components, (proximity switch, limit switch, PLC input/output level).
Blue Print Reading is desirable.
Intermediate PLC skills, troubleshooting using PLC, ladder logic, machine electrical prints, very little or no PLC programming required, only ability to use the PLC as a tool to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
Welding experience
Strong mechanical skills, such as understanding Hydraulics and Pneumatics, not only theory, but real, hands-on experience.
Basic machine shop practices, such as drilling holes with drill press, tapping holes, threading pipe, identifying pipe fittings, and how they are used (some water lines, mostly air lines).
Ability to measure in inches, millimeters, with tape measures, scales, micrometers and calipers.
