About the Role:

The Incoming Lab Supervisor is a key position in the Ferrero Quality Organization that assures an effective management of laboratories within the plant according to Central Quality guidelines and reports directly into the Plant Quality Manager.

In this role you will be actively involved in cross functional work with Production, R&D/Technology, Engineering, Maintenance. This role supports the implementation of the Ferrero Food Safety and Quality Standards and guarantees that the production unit operates in compliance with these standards.

The schedule for this role is Monday - Friday on the dayshift

Main Responsibilities:

LAB MANAGEMENT

  • Assures an effective management of laboratories within the plant according to Central Quality guidelines (reagents stock management, calibration of the tools, etc.)
  • Assures that relations between Production, Area & Central FSQ and Plant Quality
  • Assuring the availability of the raw, semi finished, and packaging materials for the plant
  • Responsible for management of all non-conformities
    - Food safety or quality in the warehouse, in production and 3rd party warehouses
RAW MATERIAL, SEMI-FINISHED, AND FINISHED PRODUCT TESTING

  • Ensure execution of sampling based on the Systematically analyzes inbound raw material, semi-finished and finished goods sampling plan in SAP based on criteria defined in FSQ material specification sheets and related to the classification of the suppliers (frequency).
  • Ensure that all incoming materials are inspected and stored in the opportune condition, according to the group and local procedures
  • Manages non-conformities in incoming, making sure the suppliers complete the corresponding CAPA, semi-finished or in production related to materials according to Ferrero procedures, including stock management in SAP for holds and release.
  • Making final decisions on the disposition of the non-conforming materials depending upon the level of severity
  • Communication of not conforming deliveries to the internal and external parties involved (QA team, SC, Purchasing, MRP, FQD, DPU, DMP, NAM Raw material and packaging etc.)
  • Management of any projects related to incoming or receiving processes
WAREHOUSING AND TRANSPORTATION QUALITY MANAGEMENT

  • Responsible for Food Safety Management System for the internal warehouse.
  • Responsible to manage the audit program in the internal and external warehouse
  • Support all warehouses (internal and external) in case of non-conformities.
  • Support with development of quality solutions according to Group guidelines for warehousing and transportation.
HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

  • Supervise the technicians and lab specialists’ day to day activities effectiveness; ensure the coverage of the sampling and inspection activities.
  • Organize work hours, vacation requests and performance evaluation for technicians.
QUALITY AND FOOD SAFETY

  • Participation during audits and management of corrective/preventive action implementation
Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Chemistry Engineering, Microbiology Engineering, Lab Analyst or similar with at least 5 years of experience in the Food Industry
  • Supervisory experience or experience overseeing staff.
