Maintenance Technician Electrical Technician
This role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and electromechanical systems in an industrial manufacturing environment. You will diagnose and repair complex electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support automated equipment, including PLCs and robotic systems, to keep production running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on all types of manufacturing machinery.
- Work safely with 480V systems and 3-phase power to install, maintain, and repair equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and electromechanical systems to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to support installation and troubleshooting activities.
- Correctly use a voltmeter and other test equipment for electrical troubleshooting and verification.
- Troubleshoot PLC systems, including Siemens platforms, to identify and correct control issues.
- Troubleshoot robotic systems, including Fanuc robots, to restore automated operations.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot control panels and associated wiring.
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot photo eyes, sensors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Support and troubleshoot AC and DC motors and associated drive systems.
- Work with industrial electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics as part of equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately and in a timely manner.
- Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting on industrial machinery, with at least 5 years of electrical experience.
- Strong knowledge of 480V systems and 3-phase power in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency in using a voltmeter and other electrical test instruments for troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLC systems, including Siemens platforms.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting robotic systems, including Fanuc robots.
- Experience working with control panels and industrial wiring.
- Proficiency with variable frequency drives (VFDs), photo eyes, sensors, and AC/DC motors.
- Background in industrial electronics, electro-mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in industrial maintenance environments.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs safely and efficiently.
Skills & Qualifications
- Associates degree in Electromechanical Maintenance or Electrical Engineering.
- Journeyman Electrician qualification or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in an industrial or automotive manufacturing environment.
- Comfort working with electro-mechanical, PLC, and robotic systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly about technical issues.

WorkEnvironment
This position is based in an automotive manufacturing facility that is very clean and expansive, described as being roughly the size of several large buildings. The environment reflects typical industrial conditions: it can be hot during the summer and cold during the winter, and you will work around production machinery, electrical equipment, and automated systems such as PLCs and robots. You will regularly work with 480V and 3-phase power, control panels, sensors, VFDs, and industrial electro-mechanical equipment.
The schedule is structured so that you work approximately 15 days per month, with every other weekend off, providing a predictable rotation in a high-production setting.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Florence, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.63 - $36.63/hr.
