The Information Specialist serves as a welcoming, knowledgeable resource for visitors, residents, and partners seeking information about Florence, South Carolina, and the surrounding region. This role is the frontline voice of the CVB, providing excellent customer service while promoting the area’s attractions, events, accommodations, dining, and cultural offerings. The Information Specialist maintains an up-to-date understanding of local tourism assets, assists walk-in guests and phone inquiries, and supports the CVB team with administrative and outreach tasks.
With a friendly, professional demeanor, the Information Specialist helps ensure every visitor has a positive experience and leaves with the tools they need to enjoy all that Florence has to offer.
This position involves staffing the Visitor Center on weekends—Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.—usually three to four days each month.
