Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with holiday rotation

• Maintain 1:2 patient ratios

• Every other weekend requirement with holiday rotation

• No on-call responsibilities

• May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs, with agency staff floating first

• Minimum 1 year of cardiac experience required

• First-time travelers not accepted

• Travel experience required

• South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

• Must wear royal blue scrubs

• Chart using Epic system

• Care for adults and geriatric patients, primarily post open heart surgery

• Work with specialized equipment including chest tubes, IABP, Impella, CRRT, temporary pacers, Swan Ganz, and cardiac output monitors

• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

• Block schedule accommodation may be requested but not guaranteed

• During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams

• Complete approximately 4 hours of non-billable modules pre-start

• Must be separated from MUSC system for 1 year before returning as traveler if previously permanent staff

The facility operates a modern CVICU with advanced cardiac monitoring equipment and specialized post-operative cardiac surgery care. The hospital offers interdisciplinary support including respiratory services and phlebotomy, maintaining high standards for cardiac patient care and utilizing Epic charting systems for comprehensive patient documentation.

Adex Job . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
