Responsibilities- Job responsibilities include those listed in competency document.
- Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
- Provide comprehensive, effective care to any patient transported by McLeod Heart Reach Critical Care Ambulance.
- Maintains positive communication (written and spoken) when collaborating with healthcare facilities.
- Adheres to all McLeod and South Carolina EMS DHEC policies and protocols.
- Attends all required meetings and educational meetings.
- Maintains certifications and licenses as mandated by the position.
- Completes documentation (written and electronic) per policy.
- Stocks and cleans ambulances and medical equipment per policy.
- Identifies and quickly treats any potentially life‑threatening situations.
Must be able use electronic documentation to enter patient’s transport information. A minimum of (3) years with a busy 911 system.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education- Must have a current South Carolina Paramedic Certification
- Must have a National Registered Paramedic certification.
- Must have and maintain a South Carolina Driver’s license
- ACLS, PALS (or equivalent), BLS certifications are required.
FP-C, CCP-C, or CCEMT-P
