Role Summary/Purpose

Position is responsible for overseeing all warehouse and receiving operations within an advanced medical device manufacturing environment. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and accurate handling, storage, and distribution of materials to support production and business needs. Key responsibilities involve managing staff, leading all receiving activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, implementing effective and efficient storage processes, ensuring safety and security, developing and enforcing operational procedures, managing budgets, and leveraging warehouse management systems (WMS) to optimize efficiency and profitability.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration with production, fulfillment, and supply chain teams.

Serve as a member of the Site Leadership Team, providing inputs and guidance into business strategies. Effectively manage a large team of associates within the Warehouse/receiving function, including non-exempt, clerks, and professional levels. Ensure operations and processes are performed in a safe manner and according to quality requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all warehouse and receiving operations, including receiving and internal logistics, material handling, and inventory control.
  • Supervise and develop a team across various roles; ensure proper staffing, training, and performance management.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); ensure real‑time data integrity and traceability.
  • Oversee the safe and compliant storage of raw materials, components, and finished goods in accordance with medical device regulations.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to support manufacturing schedules.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, reduce waste, and improve service levels leveraging LEAN manufacturing principles and implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, FDA regulations, and other applicable guidelines.
  • Monitor KPIs and generate reports on inventory accuracy, receiving performance, and warehouse productivity.
  • Manage relationships with third‑party logistics providers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, transportation providers, and other key stakeholders as needed to align and deliver on operational strategies. Promote collaboration and communication across departments to resolve issues and streamline processes.
  • Team Leadership & Development;
    Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Manage and lead workforce activities for function, to include the development and implementation of training plans which support and maximize workforce capability. Ensure skills and knowledge of staff align with needs, and ensure organizational structure supports functional requirements. Manage labor issues, coaching, and counseling for workforce as needed. Ensure any employment actions are timely and adherent to legal requirements. Conduct regular performance reviews, training, and development plans for team members.
  • Drive and ensure a high level of employee relations and engagement for the area. Drive a culture of fairness, consistency, and servant‑leadership. Implement and sustain meaningful engagement. Ensure daily connection with staff, maintain presence in functional areas, and be available to assist if needed.
