Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for an Operating Room position requiring BLS and ACLS certifications and experience across multiple surgical service lines.

• Work in the Operating Room (OR) of a hospital setting
• Care for patients in General, Neuro, Orthopedic, and Robotic surgical cases
• Day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Prepares and positions patients for surgical procedures
• Performs circulating duties efficiently and assists both in and out of the sterile field as assigned
• Ensures completion and verification of the Safe Surgery checklist
• Delegates, supervises, and evaluates activities of other team members
• Participates in scheduled on-call assignments
• Serves as communication liaison with families and the surgical team
• Demonstrates professionalism in patient relations and maintains high service standards
• Contributes to ongoing departmental efficiency and maintenance of supplies and equipment

• Active RN license, verified in the appropriate state registry
• Minimum of 1 year recent OR nursing experience
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA only) and ACLS (AHA only)
• Ability to work flexibly across various surgical service lines
• Knowledge of computer programs utilized in patient care
