Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a SC or compact RN license and flexibility across multiple surgical service lines.
Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting

• Patients will include general, neuro, orthopedic, and robotic surgery cases

• Shifts are 06:30-17:00

• Flexibility to assist in various surgical service lines is required

• Call participation may be required as scheduled

• Prepares the operating room and positions patients for procedures

• Performs circulating duties efficiently and assists within or outside the sterile field as assigned

• Completes Safe Surgery checklist and maintains concise, accurate care documentation

• Delegates and supervises activities of other team members in both routine and urgent situations

• Acts as a communication liaison to patient families and the surgical team

• Contributes to efficient department operations, including equipment and supply management
Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required

• Minimum of 1 year recent operating room RN experience required

• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required

• Knowledge of computer programs used for patient care documentation

• Primary source license verification and registration compliance required
