American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Dept RN for a free-standing ER and urgent care facility, requiring 2+ years of ER experience and Epic proficiency.
Details- Free-standing Emergency and Urgent Care facility with 12 staffed beds
- Contract begins at main hospital ER for approximately 2 weeks before transitioning to the free-standing ER/Urgent Care site
- 3x12-hour day shifts, 7am-7pm, scheduled Sunday through Saturday depending on facility needs
- Weekend rotation required
- No on-call responsibilities
- No floating required
- Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2-week period
- Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license
- AHA-issued certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
- CPI and TNCC certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- First-time travelers accepted provided they have ER experience
- SSN required for consideration
- Provide emergency and urgent care nursing services in a fast-paced ED environment
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Free parking available on-site
- Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius to qualify for travel rate; local candidates considered at a lower rate
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of application; requests of 7+ non-holiday days or including holidays require facility approval and may delay processing
- Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
- Staff may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September)
- Approximately 4 hours of non-billable training modules required prior to start
