American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring night shift availability and on-call commitment.
Details- Work in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
- Scheduled for 3 twelve-hour shifts per week plus 4 twelve-hour call shifts within a 6-week period
- Floating required to similar units as needed
- 13-week assignment
- Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Current NRP certification (AHA only)
- Nursys verification required within 30 days of start
- Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
- Deliver age-specific nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and nursing standards
- Foster a compassionate, respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors
- Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff
- Precept and mentor novice staff while contributing to department growth through evidence-based practice initiatives
- Participate in ongoing professional development and educational offerings
