Job OverviewVeterinary Technician – Florence semi‑weekly schedule.
Schedule: 4‑day work week with bi‑weekly Saturday (8:00 a.m.‑12:00 p.m.).
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary careετε, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
- Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with the Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed technicians.
- Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
- Assist in maintaining comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
- Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
- Use safe restraining techniques and follow standard protocols to keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs clean, sterile, and organized.
- Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
- Perform safe restraint techniques, obtain patient histories, and maintain accurate records.
- Perform blood draw, IV catheter placement, drug calculations, anesthesia monitoring, dental prophylaxis, radiology, and laboratory duties including fecal exam, urinalysis, and blood‑work preparation.
- Monitor hospitalized patients; admit and discharge patients.
- Prepare and administer vaccines and medications.
- Prefer one year of recent experience in a small animal hospital.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience. Hourly pay rate starting at $ Viewed 15 / hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
