You will welcome customers, help them find the right products and services, interact throughout the day, occasionally load merchandise, and ensure all customer needs are met. Daily responsibilities may vary by department such as Appliances, Hardware, Paint, or Pro Services.

• Welcome customers and deliver friendly, professional service
• Assist customers in locating and handling merchandise
• Restock merchandise in empty areas and replenish supplies
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise on time
• Train cross-functionally in other store areas to deliver the best service
• Prepare merchandise based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood)
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout
• Complete other duties as assigned

• 6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• 6 months experience with common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
• Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without an accommodation

• 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience
• Bi-lingual skills
• Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials)

This role does not require regular travel; it may need occasional travel to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.

You may be working in both inside and outside weather conditions, exposing you to varying climates. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow guidelines limiting single lifts to 75 lbs and use team lifts when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
