Electrician/ Electrician Installation, Installation Technician
Responsibilities
- Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems in commercial, industrial and healthcare facilities.
- Accurately install wire, conduit, panel boards, fixtures, devices, pre-fab assemblies, boxes, and breakers according to job specifications and NEC.
- Directly work with other electricians and helpers as part of a team.
- Install electrical distribution and automation equipment: switch gear, panels, transformers, PLC control cabinets and VFD’s.
- Proficient with circuitry of the trade to include power, control, and motor terminations.
- Bend conduit by hand and with benders.
- Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment.
- Ability to read and understand instructions, procedures, labels, and gauges.
- Accurately perform basic math calculations to include addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, multiplication, division, and the use of measurements.
- Effective communication skills (written, verbal and nonverbal).
- Self‑motivation, organization, and prioritization management.
- Proficient knowledge of OSHA standards and guidelines.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or 1‑3 years of experience or combination preferred.
Tasks require regular standing, walking, climbing, lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs, crawling, kneeling, pushing, reaching, and using hands for handling and feeling. Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Occasional exposure to extreme conditions at construction job sites. Loud noise environment. Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.
