Overview

  • Maintains building components such as, but not limited to: televisions, beds, fire alarms, overhead paging, Nurse call, pneumatic tube system, automatic door openers and electronic card entry systems.
  • Must be able to work independently and be capable of managing contractors, vendors and projects.
  • Perform a wide variety of skilled tasks including installation, repairs, troubleshooting, and planning, of televisions, beds, fire alarms, overhead paging, Nurse call, pneumatic tube system, automatic door openers and electronic card entry systems.
  • Assists other department personnel in maintaining electronic components.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance measures.
  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
  • Log daily readings of equipment and systems as assigned.
  • Review Work Orders daily and complete associated tasks/repairs by Type/Priority.
  • Review Work Orders daily and complete associated tasks/repairs by Type/Priority and document the “as found” condition, troubleshooting/repair details, list any testing equipment (with calibration dates), test results data, photos, and communication with Requestor; document final “as corrected” condition. Maintain root-cause documentation for equipment failures. Keep detailed records of system repairs, temperature, humidity and air flow as required by AHJ and medical center policy.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested.

  • Working weekends and different shifts will be required.
  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocols.

  • Must be a quick thinker and able to display positive emotional behavior, as well as apply positive social skills with co-workers, vendors, customers, and patients.
Job Requirements

Qualifications/Education/Training:
Associate Degree/Apprenticeship Program
* and minimum of 15 years of electrical/electronic maintenance experience. In lieu of an Associate Degree/Apprenticeship Program, 20 years of electrical/electronic maintenance experience will be accepted. Must be able to demonstrate general personal computer data entry proficiency and basic control diagnostic procedures.

  • Completed or enrolled and Completed within 1 year

Licenses and/or Certifications*:
If the operation of a McLeod owned or leased vehicle is required; must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving record.

  • Master Certified Electronics Technician (CETma)*
  • may be completed within 6 months of starting position
