Join to apply for the Utility Worker role at Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority (PDRTA).

Job Description:

The Utility Worker cleans interiors and exteriors of fleet vehicles, maintains office premises, and performs related duties. Typical hours Monday‑Friday 5:30 AM–7:00 PM (shift may be AM, PM, or combination). Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to three months related experience (corresponding years of experience may be considered as a substitute)
  • SC Commercial Driver’s License Class B with Passenger Endorsement required; CDL training/testing available in-house
  • Must receive a negative result from a DOT pre‑employment drug screen, pass a DOT pre‑employment physical, and a criminal background check
  • Must be able to perform duties under various work hours, including occasional travel to other PDRTA offices
  • CDL preferred or willingness to obtain Class B with Passenger Endorsement

Starting salary commensurate with years of experience and/or advanced education.

Work Environment:
Exposure to outside weather, toxic chemicals, moving mechanical parts, fumes, vibration, and noise.
