Overview
Staff Associate, Assurance (Dec 2026) s is an entry-level role in the Assurance Department, working with clients to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with financial information. Report to the Practice Area Manager and into the Practice Area Leader. This role is ideal for someone passionate about developing their accounting career in a supportive, dynamic, and growth-oriented environment.
This position is for a detail-oriented and motivated individual who enjoys working in small teams and engaging with clients. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting both firm initiatives and client development.
Responsibilities- Review financial statements and any supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare clear documentation for internal and client review that can be easily understood.
- Acquire a working knowledge of the client’s business and accounting systems, identifying risks and tailoring approaches to auditing accordingly.
- Conduct client audits, compilations, and reviews in accordance with firm standards.
- Proactively interact with clients and staff to gather information and resolve problems.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field.
- Internship experience in the public accounting industry is preferred.
- General understanding of Microsoft Office programs; working knowledge of Quick Books is a plus.
- Detail oriented with interest in pursuing a career in public accounting. Demonstrates effective problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills, along with good verbal and written communication and being a motivated team player.
