State and Local Tax - Income Franchise - Senior Manager

Those in local taxes at PwC will focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on local tax matters. Your work will involve analysing and interpreting local tax laws and regulations, assisting businesses in complying with local tax requirements and optimising their local tax positions.

As part of the State and Local Tax team you assist clients in solving business issues related to business restructuring, adoption of new tax laws, and communicating local tax developments. As a Senior Manager you are tasked with leading large projects, innovating processes, and maintaining operational excellence while interacting with clients at a senior level to drive project success. You are also responsible for developing and sustaining client relationships and mentoring staff members.

- Achieve compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations
- Communicate local tax developments effectively
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Taxation
- At least 5 years of experience
- CPA, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity
- A Juris Doctorate (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation field of study will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Master's Degree preferred
- Demonstrates profound abilities with FAS 109, unitary filing, apportionment methodologies
- Developing and sustaining client relationships using networking, negotiation, and persuasion skills
- Preparing and presenting complex written and verbal information
- Defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collection
- Acting as a team leader, supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust
- Seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation
- Coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback
- Managing efforts as a tax technical business advisor
