Billing Manager – Law Firm Experience Required
Base pay range: $160,000 - $180,000 per year
This role is for an experienced Billing Manager on behalf of a respected law firm. The Billing Manager will oversee the firm’s billing operations, ensuring accurate and timely client invoicing, and manage a team of billing specialists. The position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and experience with legal billing systems and client guidelines.
Responsibilities- Oversee the billing operations of the firm, ensuring all billing activities are executed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage the billing team, providing guidance and support, and ensuring a high level of performance and productivity.
- Develop and implement effective billing policies and procedures, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Coordinate with attorneys and other stakeholders to resolve billing issues and ensure client satisfaction.
- Utilize 3E billing software to generate detailed and accurate invoices, and to monitor and report on billing activities and trends.
- Lead billing-related projects, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholders to ensure successful completion.
- Provide training and support to team members and other firm personnel on billing processes and software.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to billing and financial reporting.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a billing management role within a law firm.
- Proficiency in law firm billing processes and billing software, particularly 3E.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead projects to successful completion.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of driving team performance and productivity.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to resolve billing issues effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of financial reporting and regulatory compliance in the context of law firm billing.
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
