Position Summary
Facility Operations Assistant Leader assists the Facility Operations Manager in delivering clean, functioning facilities and provides excellent customer service. Responsibilities include maintaining club spaces, training team members, and providing managerial support when the Manager is absent.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Assist staff in maintaining locker rooms, fitness floors, common areas, and amenities
- Respond to member feedback with urgency and provide follow‑up communication with solutions
- Assist the manager with monthly and annual budget recommendations
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, counseling, and continuous feedback for team members
- Serve on the club Safety Committee ensuring policies and regulations comply with OSHA regulations
- Assist with recruiting and interviewing for the Operations department
- Attend weekly department head, Operations department, and all‑club meetings
- Build positive relationships with members while gathering feedback
- Coordinate and create Operations staff schedules
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR/AED certification required within first 30 days of hire
- 1 year of customer service experience
- Aquatic Facilities Operator Certification (AFO)
- Certified Pool Operator license (CPO) within 3 months of hire
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business
- Health and fitness operations experience
- College degree in business, hospitality, or related field
- Experience with building operations
This hourly position pays starting at $26.00 and up to $34.75, based on experience and qualifications.
