Data Entry, Office Assistant
Full-time Ferrous Processing and Trading (FPT), a recognized industry leader in providing high-quality scrap metal to the automotive, appliance, manufacturing, and other markets has an immediate opening for a Data Entry Clerk. The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible will enter data related to scrap loads and performing other related duties.
Primary Responsibilities- Retrieves source files and work from the data center each day
- Verifies and logs the receipts of data and obtains any data that is missing
- Uses data entry equipment to record assigned data
- Resolves minor processing problems; seeks assistance from a supervisor or other appropriate staff for issues beyond immediate expertise
- Identify and correct data entry errors using appropriate quality control methods
- Reviews incoming paperwork for inconsistencies between supplier and customer
- Manages, organizes, and files source documents to ensure timely payments
- Provides timely and accurate reporting to customers on monthly transactions
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- High School diploma or GED
- Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent and precise data entry and typing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills
