Staff Accountant - Hybrid Sarasota, FL

Sangoma is seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. As a key member of the accounting department, you will assist in various accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. • Maintain accurate financial records by performing daily accounting tasks.
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all transactions are recorded in compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
• Support the audit process by gathering necessary documentation and providing clear explanations of financial data.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address accounting inquiries and provide financial guidance.
• Stay updated on accounting best practices and changes in GAAP to maintain compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related experience in accounting.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with Net Suite, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently.
• Effective communication skills for conveying financial information to colleagues.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
