Job Summary

Serves as a key support role working closely with other staff members to further the mission and goals of the Healthcare Foundation, while serving as the first impression to all guests, visitors, and callers, as well as engaging with staff, donors, volunteers, and hospital employees to advance philanthropic relationships, assist in coordinating fundraising activities, and provide day-to-day administrative support for the Healthcare Foundation.

The role provides primary telephone coverage, greets visitors, and manages daily administrative functions such as preparing bank deposits, processing mail, maintaining supplies, and supporting the finance team with data entry, invoices, credit cards, reimbursements, and reconciliations. It also assists with maintaining spreadsheets, vendor documentation, and financial records as directed by the Director of Finance & Operations. This position supports donor relations by responding to inquiries, preparing proposals and impact reports, and cultivating positive relationships to ensure donor stewardship best practices are followed.

The role also supports grant activities by maintaining grantee data, gathering documentation, and assisting with communications to enhance the Foundation’s community impact.

Required Qualifications

Require an Associate's Degree with one (1) to (2) years of not-for-profit related experience, or equivalent combination. Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Prefer demonstrated understanding of fundraising and the role of stewardship in cultivating future giving to an organization.
  • Prefer the ability to work independently or in groups.
  • Prefer detail oriented with excellent recordkeeping skills.
  • Prefer excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate well with other individuals.
  • Prefer organizational skills involving administrative processes and in working with colleagues and support staff.
  • Prefer ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prefer proficiency in Microsoft Office with a knowledge of Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge.
  • Prefer exceptional writing skills, with attention to detail and keen ability to craft compelling and persuasive communications.
  • Prefer self-motivated with ability to work under deadlines.
  • Prefer the ability to work as an integral part of a fundraising team.
Preferred Education

BD:
Bachelor Degree

This position is primarily Monday through Friday 8-5 with occasional evening and weekend work. It is 100% onsite without hybrid options.
