Service Porter

A Service Porter in the automotive industry is responsible for maintaining vehicle appearance and order, including cleaning interiors and exteriors, refilling fluids, and keeping the lot tidy. They also manage vehicle movement, directing cars to service bays and parking spots, and assist with customer service, such as accompanying test drives or helping load/unload items. The role requires a good driving record, the ability to follow directions, and strong organizational skills to support dealership operations and ensure a positive customer experience.

• Cleaning the interior and exterior of both new and used vehicles.
• Replenishing vehicle fluids, such as fuel and washer fluid, as needed.
• Checking tire pressure and maintaining batteries at full charge.
• Tagging and storing warranty parts for inspection.

• Keeping the new and used vehicle lots neat and orderly by moving cars as directed.
• Driving vehicles to and from service lanes, service stalls, and the parking lot.
• Maintaining a clean and organized service drive and service department areas.

• Greeting customers and assisting them with loading/unloading personal items.
• Accompanying customers on test drives.
• Providing assistance to service technicians as required.
• Ensuring all customer needs are met in a timely and courteous manner.

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• The ability to follow directions accurately.
• Good organizational skills and a strong work ethic.
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems is beneficial but not always required.
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions and perform tasks requiring standing and walking for extended periods.
