Purchasing Agent

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for the procurement of HVAC, refrigeration, and appliance parts, materials, and equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with project specifications and company standards.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple requests, deadlines, and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Organized, reliable, and proactive
• Team‑oriented with a positive, solution‑driven approach
• Able to quickly learn product information and vendor tools

• Prepare quotes and obtain verbal or digital approval to proceed with quoted products and/or services
• Issue and expedite purchase orders as needed to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials to the warehouse and/or job sites
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and coordinate delivery requirements with vendors
• Maintain accurate documentation for all purchase orders and procurement activities
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and sales representatives
• Obtain catalog submittals and drawings for purchased materials when required
• Perform additional assignments as directed by the Purchasing Manager

• Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, and policies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
• Experience in HVAC purchasing is preferred
