Salary Range: $37,136.00 - $39,136.00 Annually / $1,428.30 - $1,505.23 Bi-weekly

Position Summary

Orders food and supplies and verifies that quantity and quality for issue document, invoice, or purchase order is accurate. Accountable for discrepancies. Completes whatever task(s) deemed necessary to keep SAM operating on a daily and ongoing basis.

The Work You Will Do
  • Issues food and supplies with approved requisition from houses and production sheets, including special functions, picnics, and adjustments for weather, food requirements, and substitutes.
  • Manages accurate storage, rotation, and cleanliness of walk-ins, freezers, storerooms, and back dock. Implements First In/First Out and monitors recycling materials.
  • Performs administrative duties such as extending prices, tabulating percentages, receiving quotes, and placing orders for incoming food and supplies, ensuring timely completion on a routine schedule.
  • Maintains vehicle logs accurately before submission to the secretary each month.
  • Receives, sorts, verifies, and stores chemicals, apparatus, equipment, medical supplies, and other supplies.
  • Exhibits a positive work attitude with residents, co‑workers, management, and the community.
  • Supervises all first‑shift Motor Vehicle Operator positions and assists in delivery of meals to resident homes as needed.
  • Replaces light bulbs, picks up pallets, milk grates, and bread racks, and ensures the exterior of the building is always clean.
  • Monitors, motivates, and directs staff in areas of job performance. Completes employee performance evaluations and expectations within established time frames.
  • Maintains timesheet accuracy, submits timely, reviews, and approves timesheets as required, and monitors coverage levels.
  • Performs other related duties as required and completes all required training, ensuring assigned staff complete training.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Preferred:
    Professional food service experience.
  • Preferred:
    Serv Safe certification.
  • Preferred:
    Delivery experience.
  • Preferred:
    Ordering and invoicing experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of record‑keeping procedures.
  • Ability to conduct physical inventories of store items.
  • Ability to inspect warehouse areas for space utilization, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  • Ability to supervise the receipt, inspection, and distribution of supplies.
  • Ability to supervise people.
  • Ability to determine work priorities, assign work, and ensure proper completion of work assignments.
  • Ability to establish and maintain inventory control records.
  • Ability to prepare and review purchase requisitions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
