Location: Tallahassee
This Government Operations Consultant II position serves as a Grant Manager for the Rebuild Florida program, managing subrecipient agreements under Hurricane Michael and Hurricane Ian Hazard Mitigation Grant programs. The role involves negotiating agreement changes, conducting compliance reviews, maintaining project files, and providing technical assistance to subrecipients. The position works within Florida Commerce to support disaster recovery initiatives in partnership with HUD.
Keyqualifications:
- Ability to understand and apply CDBG-DR program rules and HUD requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe, and the Internet
- Strong communication, time management, and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of Florida laws, public records requirements, and Rebuild Florida program eligibility
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with internal and external partners
- Level 2 security background screening required as condition of employment
