SMH’s Childcare Center, established in 1973, provides high‑quality care for employees’ children from six weeks to 5th grade. We support staff in creating an environment that fosters each child’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. We seek enthusiastic professionals to join our team.

Provides care for children in assigned groups stressing individual needs within the developmental framework of social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Assists in creating a conducive environment and providing experiences that promote growth. Supports children’s confidence and well‑being through meaningful encounters with adults and peers.

• Require DCF Introductory 40‑hour Child Care Training (Part I & II) and 5‑hour Early Literacy and Language Development (or 0.5 CEU) within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• Require HS Diploma/Equivalency.
• Require a current Level 2 AHCA background clearance.

Salary Range: $17.35‑23.60 hourly

Same responsibilities as Teacher 1 with an added requirement of 18 months of related experience.

Salary Range: $17.70‑24.80 hourly

Provides care and adheres to developmentally appropriate practice. Assists in planning for designated classroom(s). Helps develop confidence and well‑being through successful encounters.

• Require DCF Introductory 40‑hour Child Care Training and 5‑hour Early Literacy and Language Development.
• Require NECC, FCCPC, or Director Credentials with 5 years experience, or enrollment in NECC/FCCPC with 12‑month completion and 5 years experience.
• Require 2 years of classroom experience.
• Education:
  
  HS Diploma/Equivalency.
• Require Level 2 AHCA background clearance.

Salary Range: $18.00‑26.05 hourly

Provides care, oversees team planning, and delivers developmentally appropriate activities.

• Require Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor/Advanced Degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or Exceptional Student Education.
• Require a 2‑year degree or higher with 6 college credit hours in Early Childhood/Child Growth and Development.
• Require a current Level 2 AHCA background clearance.

Salary Range: $18.35‑27.30 hourly
