Position Overview

Families are seeking hands-on, nurturing nannies to provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for infants and young children in a home setting. Patience, flexibility, and strong communication skills are essential for these roles, as families value consistency, reliability, and open communication.

The ideal nanny will have strong experience with newborns and young children and be knowledgeable about early developmental milestones, routines, and age-appropriate engagement. These are long-term positions, and families are looking for a nanny who can offer stability and commit through key early childhood stages.

Compensation: $19 - $23 hourly

Qualifications

Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older
Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for transportation to and from work
Previous infant care experience required
Reliability is essential
Strong communication skills and attentiveness
CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
Clean background check and professional childcare references (no family or friend references)
Ability to safely lift and carry an infant and get on the floor to play
Non-Smoker

Responsibilities

Provide attentive care for an 8-month-old, including feeding, diapering, naps, and interactive play.
Engage in developmentally appropriate activities to support growth and learning.
Maintain a calm and positive presence that aligns with the family's gentle approach to parenting.
Keep the play area and common spaces tidy, cleaning up after playtime and meals.
During nap times, assist with baby-related tasks such as sanitizing bottles, cleaning baby dishes, tidying the play area, and doing/putting away the baby's laundry.
Communicate openly with parents and be receptive to feedback.
Practice safe hygiene, including consistent handwashing.
Comfortable spending time in the home's lanai or outdoor area; neighborhood walks may be introduced once trust is established.
Work respectfully alongside work-from-home parents and maintain professionalism.
