Laborer - Primoris Energy Services

Primoris Energy Services is seeking to hire multiple LOCAL Laborers for upcoming projects in and around Lake Wales, Florida. The Laborer assists with various labor-related tasks including flagging, spotting, and project clean up. This project offers opportunities for overtime pay and valuable experience in the construction industry.

Assist skilled construction workers in performing their assigned duties by completing a variety of general laborer tasks.

• Practice safety rules.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Use hand & power tools safely.
• Report to and assist the immediate supervisor.
• Perform quality work as determined by project specifications.
• Accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift.
• Work well as part of a team.

• Clean and prepare construction sites.
• Load and unload materials and equipment.
• Flag and spot for equipment operators.
• Build and take down scaffolding and temporary structures.
• Dig trenches, compact earth, and backfill holes.
• Operate and tend machinery and heavy equipment.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and implement construction plans.
• Assist skilled tradespeople in their duties.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.

• Pass post‑offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.
• Meet client job site safety requirements (long sleeves, steel‑toe boots, etc.).
• Use required safety equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.).

• Comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.
• Pass physical examinations (pre‑employment and as required).
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
• Involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, or working at elevated heights, or in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).
• Carry up to 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials (assistance recommended for heavier loads).
• Stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Work extended hours on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.).

Primoris Heavy Civil, supported by the bonding capacity and resources of Primoris, has expanded into an even larger role within the heavy civil, infrastructure rehabilitation and transportation industries.
