Job Description
Heavy Equipment Operators role at Superior Construction

Essential Functions- Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures
- Ensure company equipment and materials are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner
- Check filters and grease equipment
- Observe the distribution of paving material to adjust machine settings or material flow and indicate low spots for workers to add material
- Keep the work area and equipment clean by collecting and disposing of scrap and excess materials
- Proactively communicate with foreman, superintendent, and coworkers
- Follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and the environment

This is a full-time position and will occasionally require long hours and weekend work.
Qualifications and Requirements- Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol and work in a drug-free environment
- Must be reliable and have reliable transportation
- 2-4 years of operating experience preferred
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license before employment
This is a field-based role on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The environment can be loud and may involve inclement weather, heat, humidity, dust, and asphalt. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
Physical DemandsThe role requires lifting heavy objects, walking and standing for long periods, and performing physical labor under field conditions. The employee may need to lift, push, pull, or carry objects and use core strength and stamina.
