Commercial Roofing Superintendent – Tampa Bay​/Sarasota, FL

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Superintendent to oversee roofing projects throughout the Tampa Bay and Sarasota, Florida markets. This role is responsible for coordinating field operations from project mobilisation through completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across commercial roofing environments, including new construction, reroofing, repairs, and maintenance projects.

Key responsibilities include supervising crews, subcontractors, and site activities; interpreting drawings, specifications, and project scopes; coordinating materials, equipment, deliveries, inspections, and access requirements; and monitoring daily progress against schedules and budgets. You will conduct regular site walkthroughs, maintain accurate daily reports, identify potential issues before they affect production, and communicate updates to project managers, clients, general contractors, and other trades. The Superintendent will also enforce safety policies, conduct toolbox talks, verify proper installation practices, manage punch-list completion, and help ensure projects meet all applicable building codes and manufacturer requirements.

Applicants should have several years of commercial roofing supervisory experience, with strong knowledge of low-slope roofing systems, roof coatings, sheet metal, flashing, waterproofing, and related installation methods. The ability to read plans, organise multiple priorities, lead diverse teams, and resolve field challenges promptly is essential. Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills are required, along with a dependable approach and close attention to detail.

A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel between jobsites across the Tampa Bay and Sarasota areas are required. Experience with safety programmes, quality-control procedures, project scheduling, and construction management software is preferred.
