Construction Superintendent

Job Description

Construction Superintendent for a well-established design-build firm specializing in very high-end residential design.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Open and close job sites and secure buildings each workday.

· Organize, plan, and manage daily construction operations.

· Enforce schedules for workers and subcontractors.

· Coordinate walkthroughs with subcontractors for scope of work completion.

· Administrate and evaluate on-site hourly personnel and report work hours via timesheets.

· Ensure safety guidelines are followed on all job sites.

· Keep accurate field notes and produce daily reports.

· Assist project manager as required.

· Ensure testing coordination.

· Coordinate and maintain equipment.

· Initiate field change requests.

· Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs.

· Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.

· Understanding of construction methods, contracts, and blueprints.

· Ability to manage multiple projects.

· Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

· Ability to work in team environment.

· Ability to effectively meet deadlines.

· Problem-solving attitude.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

· 5 years’ experience in new residential construction with supervisory capacity.

· Bilingual English /Spanish.
