Job SummaryAnswers high volume of calls and transfers to the correct telephone extensions while prioritizing medical emergency codes and stats. Follows procedure to alert appropriate departments and authorities. Maintains on‑call statistics for multiple departments. Places outbound calls. Provides information (room#s, in‑house telephone numbers, hospital information, etc.) to customers. Oversees approved announcement pages.
Preferred Qualifications- Previous computer skills, switchboard or receptionist experience.
- Basic typing skills.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology.
- Practical and technical knowledge relevant to the position.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks.
HS EQ:
High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
Full time day shift (6:30 AM–2:30 PM). Working every weekend (scheduled days off would be on weekdays).
