Job Duties- Leads the dynamic Wellness Education program, planning, administering, and teaching engaging classroom activities for inmates.
- Supervises and coordinates recreational activities, ensuring security and direct supervision for all participants.
- Collaborates with medical and security staff to create impactful wellness programs that support the social recovery of inmates.
- Monitors and assesses inmate interests, transforming assessments into actionable goals and performance tasks to enhance wellness education.
- Organizes and oversees special events and competitive wellness activities, including coordinating with outside groups for recreational and cultural experiences.

- A high school diploma or its equivalent.
- One year of professional experience in conducting recreational activities or health/wellness.
- Correctional experience can substitute for one year of the required work experience.
- Support of knowledge, skills, and abilities should be demonstrated on the application, in the education, in the work experience, in the work sample, in the interview and/or during reference checks.

Background screening requirement:
The Florida Department of Corrections requires all job applicants and volunteers to pass a Level 2 background check as per Chapter 435, Florida Statutes before starting work.
