GENERAL FUNCTION
The Associate Optometrist is a leader in the organization, delivering the brand promise, experience, and key results through collaboration and teamwork. Ensures all patients receive the highest quality optometric care by performing clinical protocols while maximizing results and practicing growth through strong partnerships with the MOD, SMM, and team. The Associate Optometrist serves as a brand ambassador, driven by passion and high standards to consistently exceed expectations.
MAJOR
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure executional excellence and achieve results in partnership with the MOD and store team.Demonstrate commitment to exceeding results through KPI management and accountability.Promote the brand as the leading optical provider in the community.Operate as a successful stakeholder with all organizational leaders and the local market.Prioritize patient/customer needs and deliver excellent service.Strive to exceed all KPIs.Provide unsurpassed patient service by ensuring staff follow the Service Process steps, including:Address all patients' visual lifestyle needs.Make eyewear recommendations based on patient needs.Explain each step of the eye exam and listen carefully to patients.Use available tools and visual aids to ensure patient understanding.Communicate the importance of annual eye exams and schedule follow-up appointments.Conduct all services per protocol and standards of care.Ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate recommendations for patients.Build positive doctor-patient relationships.Leverage technology to enhance patient experiences.Maintain office systems and state licensure, including continuing education.Provide training and guidance to team members using company programs.Deliver motivating and constructive feedback to staff.Create a positive culture aligned with the corporate values.Encourage decision-making at the level closest to the patient.Foster partnerships through leadership and involvement.Maintain a professional office appearance and a safe working environment.Lead by example.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Doctor of Optometry degree.Commitment to quality patient care.Knowledge of current optometric theory and technology.Strong communication and listening skills.Problem-solving abilities.Organizational skills.Benefits include health care, retirement plans, paid time off, employee discounts, and potentially a bonus or commission plan.
